Maintenance / Cleaning / Storage
Proper, thorough cleaning of the sensor vials and sensors, as well as proper storage and use as
per the chapter “Technical data” are critical for long-term, successful use of the µdox hand-held
meter.
Sensors
The sensors are always sent with sensor vials.
After using the sensors, we recommend cleaning them with distilled water.
When not in use, the sensors should also be attached firmly to the sensor vial by twisting the
black cap to close, in order to protect against impact or contamination.
The pH or pH / redox electrode must be kept in a 3 molar potassium chloride solution. To do
this, fill the corresponding sensor glass as a storage container with the KCl solution to such an
extent that the sensor reference is covered in the KCl solution.
The O2 electrode must be stored in distilled water.
Solutions and sodium sulphite
Please take care to ensure there is no exchange of the solutions to avoid faulty measurements.
Therefore the sensors should always be cleaned with distilled water as part of measurements
and calibrations in accordance with the instructions for the hand-held meter.
All solutions and the sodium sulphite should always be tightly closed
Syringes, tubes, pipettes and double-spatula
After using the sensors, we recommend cleaning them with distilled water and then drying
them.

panying requests.
There follows a list of error messages which are not already explained by corresponding re-
quests.

Note
Saving of the calibration data
failed
The sensors and/or the hand-held meter are damaged due
to external mechanical or electrical effects. We recom-
mend exchanging the components.
