The I/O Device Configuration submenu allows you to set the I/O configurations.

Parallel port:

Disabled, Enabled, Auto, OS controlled. Enabled allows user to set
configuration, while Auto uses the BIOS or OS configuration. Note that the
XE–800 does not support a parallel port directly. This feature should be left
disabled unless you are using a PC/104 parallel port. This also frees up
IRQ5, IRQ7, and the base address for other applications.

Mode:

Output only, Bi-directional, EPP, ECP, Floppy. If ECP mode is selected
another menu item appears for selection of DMA channel, with choices of
DMA1 or DMA3.

Local Bus IDE Adapter:

Disabled, Primary, Secondary, Both. Enables the integrated local

bus IDE adapter. Note: CompactFlash is on the Primary channel. The
