Overview of media related settings
Introduction
It is important to make sure that the media related settings of your system are set to generate an
optimal print result.
You can set media related settings in the following places.
Media related settings Description
in Océ Express WebTools Open the [Supplies] - [Media types] tab to do the following.
• enable, disable or remove media types for the print system (see

)
• define a default media type
• install new media profiles for specific media types. (see

Open the [Supplies] - [Media sizes] tab to define the supported
media sizes for the print system (see also

sizes on page 73
) .
Open the [Supplies] - [Counter history] or the [Supplies] - [Counter
total] tab to get information about the media usage (see also
Con-
figure the Accounting Settings on page 127
) .
on the user panel Open the [Media] menu to get an overview of the media types and
sizes that are currently available on the print system.
When you load a new media roll, you can select the correct media
type from the list of media types that you enabled in the [Sup-
plies] - [Media types] tab of Océ Express WebTools.
in the print job submission
applications In your print job submission application (for example Océ Publish-
er Express or Océ Publisher Select 2) you can select one of the
media types and sizes that are available on the printer.
