Bands of polluted colors in paper feed direction
Introduction
Bands of polluted colors in paper feed direction, so called cross color contamination, are caused
by puddles of ink on the nozzle surface, that prevent ejection of drops. The ink absorbs into
adjacent nozzles, causing color mixing.
Script
Step Action
1 Stop printing for 30 seconds. Before the next print job starts, the system automatically
cleans the printheads.
2 Check whether the problem is resolved by printing a suitable test print. If the problem
persists, print a test print with high ink coverage (full-color)
3 Check whether the problem is resolved by printing a suitable test print. If the problem
persists, replace the corresponding wiper roller (see

4 Check whether the problem is resolved by printing a suitable test print. If the problem
persists, call your local Service Provider.
