Paper simulation and black preservation

The paper simulation is based on white point scaling by the rendering intent. The same rendering
intent also controls the black preservation: relative colorimetric without black point compensation
and absolute colorimetric with black point scaling.

Device simulation with Simulation profile

When the Paper simulation is disabled, the relative colorimetric rendering intent is used for
device simulation. Now, the K-only colours in the simulation profile remains K-only in the output
profile.

NOTE

100% K in the simulation profile will not necessarily map to 100% K in the output profile because

no black point compensation is used.

Device simulation with Device Link profile

If Device Link is used, the option 'Paper simulation' is not available. The Device Link must define
how colours are mapped. The Device Link also defines if black preservation is used, or not.
