1.1.2.6 Protection

The Elexant 4010i/4020i offers multiple protection functions including ground-fault protection, output 

switch protection, safety limiter and circuit breaker 

protection.

 See Section 3.1.3.2

1.1.2.7 Communication

Elexant 4010/4020i units come equipped with RS485 and Ethernet ports and can be readily connected 
to a host PC running Windows based RAYCHEM Supervisor software for central programming, status re

-

view, and alarm annunciation or to a distributed control system (DCS). Elexant 4010/4020i units support 
the Modbus protocol either by Modbus RTU or by Modbus/TCP. An optional module can be included on 
some controller variants to allow Profibus communication. See Section 3.3 for more details.
