3.2.1.7   Lead Resistance
Purpose:

 This parameter is applicable only to 2-wire 100-Ohm Nickel Iron 

and 2-wire 100-Ohm Nickel 

RTDs. Since a 2-wire RTD has no compensation for lead resistance, entering a value will allow the  

temperature reading to be corrected to compensate for this lead resistance.

Range:

 0 to 20 Ohms. 

Default:

 0 Ohms.

3.2.1.8   High/Low Temperature Alarm Settings

Note: see Section 3.5.2 for more details on alarm functionality.

a.  Enable

Purpose: 

This parameter is used to enable or disable the activation of the High/Low Alarms.

High Temperature Alarm Defaults:

TS1: Disabled

 

TS2: Disabled

 

TS3: Disabled

Low Temperature Alarm Defaults:

TS1: Enabled

 

TS2: Disabled

 

TS3: Disabled

b.  Latch

Purpose: 

This parameter is used to configure the behavior of the High/Low Alarm conditions. Disabling 

the Latch function will allow the alarm to self-clear once the alarm condition has resolved. Enabling 

 

latching will keep the alarm active until it is reset by the user or the controller is reset (by a cycling the 
power on/off for example).

High Temperature Alarm Latch Defaults:

TS1: Disabled

 

TS2: Disabled

 

TS3: Disabled

Low Temperature Alarm Latch Defaults:

TS1: Disabled

 

TS2: Disabled

 

TS3: Disabled

c.  Setpoint 

Purpose:  

This parameter is used to enter a temperature value at which the controller sets the High/Low 
Alarm indicator.

Range:

 -200°C to 700°C.

Default High Alarm Setpoint: 100°C. 
Default Low Alarm Setpoint: 5°C.

d.  Filter

Purpose: 

Filter is the minimum amount of time that a High/Low Alarm condition must exist before the 

controller sets the High/Low Alarm indicator.

Range:

 0 to 59940 seconds.

Default:

 0 Seconds
