5.13.1 Safety Limiter Setup
Touch the corresponding Enable check box to turn on/off the corresponding Alarm indication and touch
the corresponding Latch check box to select a latching or a non-latching alarm type. When latching is
selected, then the alarm will need to be manually reset each time the corresponding alarm occurs.

5.13.1.1 Safety Limiter Status
Purpose: This field shows the status of the Safety Limiter Output.
Values: OK, Tripped.

5.13.1.2 Safety Limiter Temperature

Purpose: This field shows the temperature measured by the Limiter RTD. If this value exceeds the Safety
Limiter set point, the Safety Limiter will trip open. In the case where the Safety Limiter has tripped, a
manual intervention is required to reset the trip condition. This is only possible once all process
conditions have returned to a safe state.
5.13.1.3 Safety Limiter Temperature Setpoint

Purpose: This field displays the Safety Limiter temperature setpoint value.The value should be chosen
in accordance with the Temperature Class of the area in which the heating application is installed or the
maximum surface temperature allowed for the heating device, whichever is less.
Default: 50°C
Range: 50 to 600°C
