TC 110 - Liga C 200
WARNING!
When clamping a tyre, NEVER have your hands under the tyre.
To clamp the tyre correctly, position the wheel exactly at the centre of the table top (2, Fig. H).
Check to be certain that the wheel is correctly clamped
by all four grippers.
RIM CLAMPED FROM THE OUTSIDE (wheels from 10-20")
Press the pedal (
5, Fig. H
) to the middle position to position the 4 sliding clamps (
6, Fig. H
) so that the reference on the table top is more
or less in line with the tyre diameter stamped on the sliding clamp.
Place the wheel on the table top and push down on the wheel while depressing the pedal (
5, Fig. H
) all the way to clamp the wheel.
RIM CLAMPED FROM THE INSIDE (wheels from 12-23")
Press the pedal (
5, Fig. H
) all the way down to close the 4 sliding clamps completely.
Put the wheel on the table top and depress pedal (
5, Fig. H
) all the way down. The 4 sliding clamps will open and clamp the wheel.
ATTENTION: In order to avoid marking the rim, alloy rims should be locked exclusively from the outside after having mounted the
specially-provided protection on the clamps.
10.3 DEMOUNTING
1)
Put the mounting head (
13, Fig. H
) against the edge of the rim by manually
moving the horizontal arm (
9, Fig. H
) and the exagonal bar (
8, Fig. H
).
2)
Lock the mounting head (
13, Fig. H
) by using the lever (
7, Fig. H
).
The head will be automatically lifted by 2 mm. up the edge of the rim.
3)
Using the handle-wheel (
15, Fig. H
) push the mounting head (
13, Fig.
H
) 2 mm. far from the edge of the rim.
4)
With the help of the bead lifting tool (
14, Fig. H
) inserted over the forward
end of the mount/demount tool (
13, Fig. H
) and below the top bead, lift the
upper bead over the knob portion of the mount/demount head.
N.B.
To prevent pinching the inner tube, do this operation with the valve
about 10 cm to the right of the mount/demount tool.
5)
Hold the bead lifting tool in this position and hold the pedal (
1, Fig. H
)
depressed to turn the table top (
2, Fig. H
) clockwise until the tyre comes
completely off the rim.
WARNING!
To prevent industrial accidents, keep hands and
other parts of the body as far from the tool arm
as possible when the table top is turning.
Note: If the bead rubber is particularly hard and stiff, it will tend to slip
off the mount/demount tool. To prevent this, before turning the table
top clockwise, rotate it anticlockwise for a couple of centimeters while
holding the bead lifting tool (14, Fig. H) as shown in Fig. N.
6)
Remove the inner tube if the tyre has one.
