Getting Started
Displaying the clock and i-channel information
You can light up the indicator display to display the standby screen (clock) with the FOMA terminal folded. If
you have subscribed to the i-channel service, you can also display the i-channel information.
■ Displaying the clock
Pressing
a
( ) or
s
(MEMO/CHECK) when there is no missed
call or new mail (when the incoming call lamp does not flash)
displays the time notification animation for 2 seconds and the
standby screen (clock) is displayed.
●
You can select the clock type (5 types) or the display time (15
seconds/30 seconds/60 seconds) and the time notification
animation in “Indicator display”.
■ Displaying the i-channel information
●
If you set to “Indicator display ON” of “Ticker display
setting”, you can check the i-channel information
(displayed twice) by pressing
a
( ) while displaying the
standby screen (clock), etc.
If you press
a
( ) when the standby screen (clock), i-channel information, etc. is displayed, the
indicator display turns off (number of times to press the key depends on the status of the FOMA
terminal).
Selecting the Menu
You can run, set, and check the FOMA terminal’s functions in a variety of ways. Mainly you can either select a
function from the main menu or access the function by pressing the keys for the menu numbers. Following
methods are also available:
・ Pressing software keys or specially assigned keys
・ Using the “Simple menu” with fewer menus which is consisted of only frequently used functions from the main
menu
・ Using the “Original menu” in which you can customize your frequently used functions
Selecting functions from the main menu
The functions of the FOMA terminal are sorted by function (P.372), and you can select these functions from the
main menu displayed by pressing
i
in the standby screen.

( ) on the missed call check screen in which “Received data/received time/name” or on the new mail check screen in
which “Received data and time/sender/subject” is displayed, the standby screen (clock) appears.

Tip
If you do not press any keys for 15 seconds
while the main menu is displayed, the main
menu is turned off and returns to the previous
screen.
