ADDITIONAL HDD’s CONNECTING
7.3 IEEE1394 (FireWire) HDD connecting
Warning: Always shut down the Multiplexer before IEEE1394 HDD connection/disconnection.
Up to 4 HDD’s can be connected utilizing FireWire port. HDD’s are connected in “cascade” method.
The HDD can not operate in none of the RAID modes.
If both external HDD’s and external CD writer are to be connected to the system via one FireWire port
CD writer should be connected as the first unit and then additional HDD’s should be connected
in a “cascade” method to the CD writer.
HDD’s connected via FireWire port can be set in both operation modes - backup and normal recording.
On the HDD list in the position

.
Indicate
option allows to identify
physically the numeration assigned to the HDD. See sub-chapter 3.7.2 for more details.
