CENTRAL DIMMING
Configures the NAVITWIN IV‘s central dimming function.
Central dimming allows to set the NAVITWIN IV‘s display and keypad
illumination brightness remotely, via serial data commands received at
the RS-422 central dimming input.
CENTRAL DIM ON (Central Dimming On)
Enables or disables the central dimming function.
Settings: on (option checked)
Central dimming is enabled.
The NAVITWIN IV evaluates dimming commands at
the RS-422 central dimming input.
off (option unchecked)
Central dimming is disabled.
GROUP ID
Sets dim group ID to assign the NAVITWIN IV to the respective
dim group.
Selecting ID “00” lets the NAVITWIN IV accept any dim command
received, regardless of group assignment.
The group ID setting is effective only if the proprietary $PPLAI sen-
tence is used for dimming.
Settings: 00 – 99
DIM OFFSET
Adds a local offset to the central dimming commands received.
The offset value indicates the number of levels by which the illu-
mination brightness is to be reduced or increased, relative to the
brightness set via central dimming commands.
To permit the operator to alter the illumination brightness during
normal operation, pressing the
DIM-
or
DIM+
key will decrease or
increase the offset value correspondingly.
Settings: -7 – +7
