Charts 

Radar/Chart Radar User Guide

4.  To install charts from a different data source, click the 

Browse

 

button and navigate to the root directory that contains the chart 
data.  A Browse For Folder window opens from where you can 
navigate to the external drive (CD, DVD or USB memory stick) 
and/or source directory where the chart files reside. 

5.  Select the chart source directory and click the 

OK

 button. The 

Browse For Folder window is removed, the chart files appear in the 
list and the Action buttons on the ChartHandler become active. 

6.  To install all the chart files in the list, click the 

Install All

 button. Or, 

to install selected chart files from the list highlight the files and click 
the 

Install Charts

 button. When charts are being installed a 

Converting Files window appears over the ChartHandler screen 
showing the progress of the installation as a percentage figure. 

 

For further instructions on installing SevenCs charts and operating the 
ChartHandler either click the Help icons in various locations on the screen, 
or to access the complete Help Guide click the `Help’ button at the bottom 
right of the screen. The Chart Handler User’s Guide appears as an Acrobat 
pdf file. 
Chart data suppliers such as UKHO may provide additional safety-related 
information about supplied ENC chart sets on each Admiralty Vector Chart 
Service (AVCS) CD/DVD. This information comes in the form of a 
ReadMe.txt file, which is accessed from the 

Msg.
