Replacing basic chassis components

Loosen the four Phillips-head screws that secure the status display panel 
to the front of the chassis (see “A” in the diagram below).

5

Label and remove the 40-pin flat cable from the back of the status display 
panel.

6

Move the defective status display panel towards the back of the chassis, 
and then lift it out of the chassis  (see “B” and “C” in the diagram above).

7

Set the replacement status display panel into position, and secure it to 
the chassis by replacing the Phillips-head screws.

Reconnect the cable.
