Unless you are using TCP/IP, it is not necessary to do this right now.
You can configure the network after the printer is up and running.

Log on the UNIX system as root.

Edit the system host table by adding the following line to the
/etc/hosts file:
internetaddress hostname
where
internetaddress
is the Internet address of the printer
(Administration/Communications/Resident NIC/CrownNet/
TCPIP/Internet Address menu) and
hostname
is the name
of the host.

If necessary, set the hardware address.
Caution:
We strongly recommend that you do not change the
hardware address.
If you’re working on a system other than a UNIX system, set
the hardware address through the printer control panel.
If you’re working on a UNIX system, send the hardware
address to the print server by typing
arp -s
hostname
hardwareaddress
temp

is the name of the host and

address
is the hardware address of the printer (in the form

You can also send the hardware address of a UNIX
