GPS IO tests
Context
This test checks the signal connections between the GPS ASIC and the Host.
Steps
1.
Place the phone in the flash adapter or connect a data cable to the phone.
2.
Start
Phoenix
service software.
3.
Select the
Bus Method
(FBUS or USB) and
Port
from the
Connections
box.
4.
Choose File
→
Scan Product.
5.
Choose Testing
→
GPS Control.
6.
Select the ME Test tab.
7.
Under Tests, check Input pin state and Output pin state.
Note:
These tests can also be run separately by selecting just one of the two tests.
8.
Select IO pin parameters.
9.
Type in the correct parameters:
•
ME pin number
: 10,9,7,11
•
NPE equivalent pin number
: 4,2,3,9
•
Procedure
: 1,2,4,8
10. Click Start test.
Results
The result of the tests is shown in the
Results
window.
