4. Preparation

4.1- Speed of drums
Using different combinations of sprocket
wheels (A) and (B), different drum speeds are
obtained. The ideal speed depends on several
factors, such as: type, size and density of the
crop to be harvested, harvest conditions,
etc. Your machine leaves the factory with
the setting that best suits most products. If
necessary, you can test different speeds to
find the one that best suits the product being
harvested.
To change the drum speed, proceed as
follows:
1.
First, check to which chopping size the
machine is set (see which pair of cutting
gear (E) is being used on the machine);
2.
Find on the following pages the chart
corresponding to the pair of cutting gears
mounted on the machine;
In the chart you can see that for each pair of
sprockets-wheels (A) and (B) corresponds a
different speed of the drums;
Changing the sprockets wheels (A) and (B),
different drum speeds are obtained.
