6. Maintenance
After changing the counter knife, adjust
with the knives as described in item
6.5. If you turn the machine on with a
interference between knives and counter
knife, the machine will damage and it
may cause the release of fragments which
can hit people and cause an accident with
personal damage.
Also check the lower counter knife wear (X)
and, if necessary, replace it too.
8.
Remove the 2 bolts (P) and the shackle
(Q);
9.
Remove the 4 bolts (R);
10.
Remove the 4 bolts (S) and remove the
entire head from the machine;
11.
Remove the 3 bolts (T) and the counter-
knife (U);
12.
Invert the side of use of the counter-knife.
If all the sides are already used, replace
the counter-knife with a new one;
13.
Fix the counter knife with the 3 bolts (T);
14.
Re-assemble the platform to the machine,
fix it with the 4 bolts (R) and the bolts (S).
15.
Replace all previously removed items;
16.
Stretch the chain and replace the cover
(D).
CAUTION!
Never operate the machine without the
safety protections.
