Once you have obtained a LAN adapter, install it in the Fun Center unit as follows:
1. Use the Fun Center unit key to open the left door.
2. Connect the blue LAN extender cable to the Ethernet connector on the LAN adapter.
3. Connect the USB plug of the LAN adapter to the open USB port on the back of the Wii
U console.
Once the LAN adapter is installed in the Fun Center unit, connect to the Internet as follows:
1. Make sure the Wii U console and GamePad are powered ON.
2. Double-tap the
Misc
folder.
3. Double-tap the Wrench icon to access
System Settings
.
4. Tap the Internet icon, then enter the Parental Controls PIN code. (For information
about your Parental Controls PIN code, see Section 2.7, Parental Controls.)
5. Tap
Connect to the Internet
.
6. Tap
Connection Types
.
7. Tap
Wired Connection
, then tap
OK
.
8. The Wii U now performs a connection test.

If the connection test fails, select
OK
to receive an error code and detailed
information on why the connection test failed. Then, consult your system
administrator.
