Use the Direction pad to navigate to the shooting
method of your choice and press the
>
key to select it.

Nikon suggests focusing prior to invoking Live View,
as this gives the camera a better starting point. Select
your focus point using the Direction pad (it doesn’t
matter what Autofocus Area mode you’re using, when
the camera is Live View the focusing system acts as if
it is in Single Area). Press the
AF-ON
button to initiate
focus.
10.
Press the shutter release all the way down, as if taking
a picture. This
starts
the Live View function. The
camera’s mirror is raised and the color LCD now
displays a video-like stream of images from the main
imaging sensor. (To cancel Live View, press the
MENU
button at any time during this and the
following steps.)
11.
Frame your picture using the color LCD (the
viewfinder is now black due to the mirror raising).

LCD you wish to look more closely at the
image, you may press the Zoom in button (
