8.3 Software Upgrade

8.3.1 Main body software

1 . Copy the LETR-1 software (LETR1-Vxxxxx.exe) to the PC.

2 . Turn off the power switch of the LT-980.
3 . Remove the top cover ASSY (44801-

2000)

(see 6.1 [p31])

4 . Set SW3 on the main board (40601-BA01)

to the far left (FWE) position

(see 9.5.1 [p72])

5 . Reassemble the top cover ASSY (44801-2000) in the reverse order

(see 6.1 [p31])

6 . Connect the supplied RS-232C cable between the PC and the BAR CODE connector of the

LT-980.

7 . Turn on the power switch of the LT-980.

It is recommended to use a PC on which Tracer Utility is confirmed to run prop-
erly.

Initialization is not conducted.
