8 ADJUSTMENT

8.1 Using Tracer Utility

8.1.1 Connecting and activating Tracer Utility

1 . Turn off the power switch of the LT-980.
2 . Connect the LT-980 and a Tracer Utility-installed PC with a RS-232C cable or USB cable.

3 . Boot up the PC.
4 . Turn on the power switch of the LT-980.
5 . Click the Tracer Utility icon on the PC

desktop.

Tracer Utility is activated.

For the details on how to use Tracer Utility, refer to “10.1 Tracer Utility” in the service
manual for the tracer ASSY (LETR-1).

Caution

Be sure to use the latest version (Ver3.00 or later) of the tracer adjustment software,
Tracer Utility.
When using the USB serial conversion cable, it is necessary to install the USB driver
provided with the cable to the PC.
Never disconnect the cable during activation of Tracer Utility.
