4.3 Power

Cord

Inlet

Each unit has a detachable power cord. The cord connects to a fused inlet located in
the top lefthand corner of the rear panel, as you face the incubator.

This inlet has a recessed male plug, a fuse and a filtering system designed to protect
the circuitry from power surges. This inlet also keeps any internally generated
interference from feeding back to the power supply system.

Filter

The CO28IR CO

2

incubator design featurs a HEPA filtration system with a patented

copper housing.

As the chamber air is drawn through the filter system (

see Figure 5

), airborne

microbes and isolated particulates are not only removed from the air, these
contaminants are also destroyed through copper oxidation.
