Feature
Operation
Temperature Safety
This is a hydraulic thermostat that is wired between the Main
Temperature Control and the heating element. It functions as
an override control. If at any time the Main Temperature Control
fails in the ON position and the temperature in the chamber
rises above its setpoint, the Temperature Safety is activated to
maintain temperature at its own setpoint.

Control
This digital display is marked
CO
2
%
and indicates the %CO
2
content inside the chamber, within 0.1%. The UP/DOWN
arrows (
S
/
T
) are used for inputting the setpoint, calibrating the
display, and muting or unmuting the audible alarm. The HIGH
and LOW alarm indicators (red bars) will light whenever there is
an alarm condition associated with the CO
2
% within the
chamber. The MUTE indicator (yellow bar) will light whenever
the audible alarm has been deactivated.
Humidity Display
This digital display is marked
%RH
and indicates the relative
humidity in the chamber.
Power Switch
The main power I/O (on/off) switch controls all power to the unit.
It must be in the I (on) position before any systems are
operational.
Gas Sample Port
This is located on the control panel below the power switch. At
this port, a sample can be drawn to measure the CO
2
in the
chamber.
Water Jacket Low Light
This pilot lamp is on when the internal water jacket float switch
has been tripped to the closed position. When the water drops
low enough, the float switch closes the circuit, turning on the
pilot light to indicate that
distilled water
should be added to the
jacket.
CO
2
Injection Light
This pilot lamp is on when the CO
2
controller is injecting CO
2
into the chamber.
Safety Activated Light
This pilot lamp is on whenever the Temperature Safety has
been activated and has taken control of the heating element.
During normal operating conditions this indicator should never
be on.
Heating Light
This pilot lamp is on when the Temperature Controller is
activating the heating elements to reach and maintain setpoint.

Door Temperature Control
The Door Temperature controller (
see Figure 4
) is located on the outer door liner in
the upper left corner. This control will maintain door temperature between 1º and
1.5ºC above the incubator chamber temperature to prevent condensation from forming
on the glass door.
