IP Settings for Wireless Clients
You can turn the WNDAP350 into a DHCP Server for wireless clients for both DHCP-enabled
wireless clients. The default advanced IP wireless settings usually work well. This feature is
intended for use by a systems administrator. By default, this feature is not enabled.
To use this wireless access point as a DHCP server:
1.
From the main menu under
Configuration
, select
IP
, and then select
DHCP Server
Settings
. The DHCP Server Settings screen displays (see
Figure 44, DHCP server
settings
).
2.
DHCP Server is disabled by default. Select the
Enable
radio button to enable this wireless
access point as a DHCP server.

Configure the following TCP/IP configurations for using the WNDAP350 as a DHCP Server
for wireless clients.
•
DHCP Server
. By default, the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) server
on the AP is disabled. If you enable it, all the wireless clients associated with the AP
will get their IP addresses, subnet mask and default gateway settings automatically
from the AP.
•
DHCP Server VLAN ID
. All the stations that are part of the configured VLAN ID will
get their IP addresses only from the AP.
•
Starting IP Address
. Enter the starting IP address that can be assigned from the
DHCP server on this Access Point.
•
Ending IP Address
. Enter the Ending IP address that can be assigned from the
DHCP server on this Access Point
•
Subnet Mask
. The Access Point will assign the specified subnet mask to the
connected wireless stations.
