Configuring Your Internet Connection
This chapter describes how to configure your modem router Internet connection. When you
perform the initial configuration of your modem router using the
Resource CD
as described in the
NETGEAR Router Setup Manual,
these settings are configured automatically for you. This chapter
provides further details about these settings, as well as instructions on how to log in to the modem
router for further configuration.

What You Need Before You Begin
You need to prepare the following before you can set up your modem router:
•
Active Internet service provided by an ADSL account.
•
The Internet Service Provider (ISP) configuration information for your ADSL account.

ISP login name and password
–
ISP Domain Name Server (DNS) addresses
–
Fixed or static IP address
–
Host and domain names
