Set User Password
Press Enter
User password controls access to the
system.
Specifies whether the system prompts
you to enter a password to access the
system. This function is enabled once
a Supervisor password is set. Enter a
new password with up to eight
alphanumeric characters. Then enter
the same password again for
confirmation.

Supervisor password controls access
to the setup utility.
Specifies whether the system prompts
you to enter a password when
entering Setup.
Password on boot
[Disabled] / [Enabled]
Enables password check when
booting.
Password on Resume
[Disabled] / [Enabled]
Enables password check during
resume from Suspend mode.
Fixed disk boot sector
[Normal] / [Write protect]
[Write Protect] enables write protect
boot sector on hard disk to guard
against viruses. [Normal] disables this
write protect function.
Diskette access
[User] / [Supervisor]
Control access to diskette drives.
Note:
It is important to remember your password. If the
password is forgotten, the only way to delete the password
is to reset the CMOS battery. You do this by removing the
CMOS battery and all power supply including AC adapter
and battery pack.
