IMPORTANT:
„ The ACT LED illuminates in umber temporarily while the 8G FC Switch is started.
„
If the ACT LED is in any status other than illuminating in green, an error occurs in the
8G FC Switch. If the error cannot be rejected in spite of required action, contact your
service representative.
Port status LED (located to the left of each port number)

No signals are sent to the SFP+
module, a proper cable is not
connected to the SFP+ module or
a fibre channel device is not
connected to the SFP+ module. Check the SFP+ module, a proper
cable and fibre channel device
connectivity.
OFF
No traffics flow in the online status
(with a device onnected).
Illuminating in green

Blinking in green
(irregular blinking)
The port is in the online status and
traffics flow through the port.

Blinking in green
slowly
(1-sec interval)
Port is online and segmented,
indicating a loopback cable or
incompatible device. Check a fibre channel cable
connectivity and device
compatibility.
Blinking in umber fast
(0.5-sec interval)
The port is in the internal loop
status.
－
The port is receiving light or
signal, but is not online yet.
Illuminating in umber
－
As a result of self-diagnosis, a
malfunction is found in the port
and the port is in the disable
status. Use the “portEnable” command for
the port enabled.
Blinking in umber
slowly
(1-sec interval)
If the status LEDs for all ports is
blinking umber slowly, use the
“switchEnable” command for the
switch enabled.
Check a fibre channel cable
connectivity and device
compatibility.
The Port is in the fault.
Blinking in umber fast
(0.5-sec interval)
Check the connection of fibre
channel loop. Blinking in umber and
green alternately
The port is in the bypass mode.
