Removing a SIMM
Use the following procedure to remove a SIMM.
CAUTION:
Reduce static discharge by touching
the system’s metal chassis.
1.
Remove the system unit cover.
2.
Locate the SIMM sockets (see “System Board Options” earlier in this section).
3.
Press the metal clips at the outer edges of the socket away from the SIMM (see
the following figure).
4.
Push the SIMM away from the locking tabs and remove it from the socket.
