LED Board Assembly Removal
Remove the LED board and cable assembly as follows.
Before removing the system cover, turn off the power and unplug the
system power cable. Power is removed only when the power cable is unplugged.
1.
Turn off and unplug the system unit and any external options connected to the system.
2. Remove the system cover (see “System Cover Removal” earlier in this section).
3.
Remove the diskette drive (see “Diskette Drive Removal” earlier in this section).
4. Unplug the LED board cable from its connector (JFP1) on the system board.
5.
Position the chassis with the front facing you and locate the LED board on the right of the
chassis. Note how the LED board cable is installed in the chassis so that you can correctly
reinstall the cable later.
6.
Remove the screw securing the LED board to the chassis.
7. Slide the LED board out from under the tab.
8.
Carefully pull the LED board and cable out of the front of the chassis.
9. Install a replacement LED board and cable assembly by reversing steps 1 through 9, above.
Riser Board Removal
Remove the riser board from the riser board bracket as follows.
Before removing the system cover, turn off the power and unplug the
system power cable. Power is removed only when the power cable is unplugged.
1. Turn off and unplug the system unit and any external options connected to the system.
2.
Remove the system cover (see “System Cover Removal” earlier in this section).
3. Remove the riser board bracket (see “Expansion Board Removal” earlier in this section).
4.
Remove the screw securing the riser board to the riser board bracket. The screw is at the top
right corner of the riser board.
5.
Slide the riser board out from under the three tabs and place in an anti-static bag.
6. Reinstall a riser board in the riser board bracket by reversing steps 1 through 5, above.
Ensure that the tab on the bottom of the riser board bracket is inside the chassis when
installing the bracket (see “Expansion Board Removal”).
