to place a call in a waiting state at your phone, or park it in an orbit for a colleague. You may
Transfer
the call to
their extension and if you wish to speak to the caller after your colleague has finished set up a
Series Call
.
When you leave your desk think about
Call Forwarding
your calls to someone else. If you forget to set it, go to another phone
and bring your calls to you with
Follow Me
. When you want other extensions to know where you are set a
Text Message
at
your phone. If you are at your desk and don’t want to be interrupted set
Do Not Disturb
.
Personalising Your Phone
If you are in an open plan office, you may wish to make your phone ring in a unique way by selected a different
Ring Tone
.
To have a comfort tone every time you press a dial pad key, enable
Confirmation Tones
. Let your colleagues know who’s
calling by following
Name Storing
to assign a name to your extension.
Don’t forget to use your
One Touch Keys
to speed up access to colleagues and external callers, abbreviated dial codes and
certain feature codes. You may record any dialling steps in a one touch ‘macro’ key with
One Touch Serial Operation
. To
simplfy callback, message waiting or other features just assign these functions to the
Programmable Function keys
.
So you don’t forget an important meeting - set an
Alarm
to remind you. Try turning on the
Background Music
if you want to
block out distracting noises in your work area. Tired of always reaching for the handset or cradling it under your chin - install a
headset and enable
Headset Operation.
