At HTTP-proxy status you enable or disable the RouteFinder's HTTP proxy function. When enabled,
HTTP proxy lets you choose between two modes: Transparent mode and Non-Transparent mode.
Transparent mode: here you enable or disable the RouteFinder's transparent mode. This mode only
matches for HTTP requests via port 80 from the internal network and forwards them to the proxy. This
process is invisible to the user. No further administration is required because no changes of the setting on
the browser of the end user are necessary.
Note: while using the Proxy transparent mode, all networks that should be forwarded transparently to the
Proxy must be assigned. All unassigned networks that want to connect to the Internet without the proxy
must be inserted with a corresponding rule in Packet Filter. There is no access to the HTTP proxy using
predefined settings in the browser in transparent mode.
