System

Infra-Red Remote Control

Located on the MVP Control Module, inside the upper black bar, is an Infra-Red Remote Sensor. It receives

signals transmitted from the hand-held Remote Control. The Remote Control affords substantial flexibility

during product demonstrations. The user may move freely about the showroom while maintaining complete

control of the demons tration. With the exception of setting the range limits of the Component Auto-

Rotate feature and controlling the Speaker Equalizer, all System functions can be both programmed and

accessed using the Infra-Red Remote Control, including programming A/B and 1-30 Systems. The

operational steps approximate as closely as possible the steps required at the MVP Control Panel. See

Operation Section, page 112 for detailed instructions on using the Infra-Red Remote Control.

A. Chain Selection Keys –

These

numeric keys are used to select
chain numbers for up to 14
chains.

B. Component Selection Keys –

These numeric keys are used to
select component numbers. Also
used for entering the Lock-Out
code.

C. A/B Compare Keys –

After

storing separate system options
under buttons A and B, these
keys will toggle between the
two during A/B comparisons.

D. CE Key –

This key is used to

clear an erroneous entry from
the Control Panel display
window.

E. SYS Key –

This key, in

conjunction with the
Component Selection Keys, will
store and allow quick access to
30 different component combinations.

ROT Key –

This key will start and stop the Auto-Rotate

function. The component range must first be set at the MVP Control Module.

G. LOCK Key –

This key, in conjunction with the Chain Selection keys, will enable or

disable the Lock-Out function.

H. MUTE Key –

This key will activate and deactivate a speaker mute function, which

disconnects all of the speakers from the speaker busses. When the mute is active, two
decimal points will flash in the main control panel display window.
