MVP Feature Modules

To complement the basic Modules, MTi has developed several

Feature Modules that will increase the selling power of your

MTi Matrix System

®

. Each Feature Module has the same

dimensions as a Dual Chain Module and can easily be installed

as a part of a new or an existing MVP Control Panel.

The MVP Watt Meter

The MVP Watt Meter (MVP-WM) graphically represents the

high-level signal on an audio bus (i.e., Speaker/Amplifier

buses). The upper half consists of left and right LED indicators

with increments from one to 400 Watts. (The LED indicators

are only visible when the Watt Meter is operating.)

The lower half of the Module is comprised of a Chain position

just like half of a Dual Chain Module, and this is the Chain

whose signal the Watt Meter measures. One Watt Meter is

required for each Chain to be metered.

Watt Meter Display –

 

displays real-time wattage

reading of the component selected on the
lower Chain.

Chain Display Window –

 Displays the number of

the currently selected component in the Chain.

Component Label Window/Slot –

 Individual labels for designating the component Chain

name may be inserted into this slot. The opening is located adjacent to the slot on the left-
hand side of the Module.

D.

Chain Selection Button –

 The Watt Meter has one Chain Selection Button (CH1). After

entering a component number on the MVP Control Module, press the Watt Meter’s
Chain Selection Button. The component’s number will transfer from the MVP Control
Module to the Display Window in the Watt Meter and the component and the Watt Meter
will be activated.

The Watt Meter, though it only supports a single Chain, uses two Chain positions on the MVP Control Panel.

This means that if Watt Meters are incorporated, the total number of Chains that potentially can be

switched per MVP Control Module will be one less (from the maximum of 16) for each Watt Meter installed.

Once installed, the Watt Meter does its job automatically, needing no adjustment during use.
