user-specified.

Displays the host’s name and Web address.
Message Insertion
Mode
This drop-down menu provides two selections to set the message insertion
method of the APEX1000:
•
Efficient
– The default mode of insertion and recommended use case for the
APEX. This allows the APEX to insert generated PSI and ECM messages as
efficiently as possible into the output stream.
•
Single Section
– This mode forces the APEX to start every new message at
the beginning of an MPEG packet. This will typically increase the amount of
bandwidth required for the APEX to insert PSI and ECM messages. This is
the least efficient method of insertion and should only be selected if the
output streams have the proper bandwidth for PSI and ECM messages.
Auto-Reboot Enabled
Select the
Auto-Reboot Enabled
checkbox to allow the APEX1000 to
automatically reboot when specific hardware errors occur.
Range: On/Off
Note: Currently, only a Loss of Host-to-GigE communication can trigger an
automatic reboot.
Reboot Reason
Read-only function that indicates the reason for the last APEX1000 boot:
•
Power Cycle
– Power-up or power cycled
•
Operator Reboot
– Operator-commanded reboot
•
Hardware Fault
– An automatic reboot has occurred
Unicast Loss of Input
Timeout (ms)
Displays the period for
waiting for packet to appear
on input for a unicast (VOD)
stream (the maximum allowable time between packets for unicast streams
before the stream is considered lost).
Range: 600 ms – 6000 ms (configurable in steps of 200 ms)
The default is 5000 ms.
Multicast Loss of
Input Timeout (ms)
Displays the period for
waiting for packet to appear
on input for a multicast
(broadcast/SDV) stream (the maximum allowable time between packets for
multicast streams before the stream is considered lost).
Range: 600 ms – 6000 ms (configurable in steps of 200 ms)
The default is 5000 ms.
Loss of Input

stream against the input Secondary stream.
Range: Data Rate/ Stream Rate
•

•
Data Rate

The default is Stream Rate.
