Configuration and addressing

The slaves can be addressed using the Sucosoft S 40 - 
an ASi address programming device is not necessary. 
With this method of addressing, the slaves are attached 
to the ASi network and addressed one after the other. 
After all slaves have been addressed and detected in the 
actual configuration, the actual configuration should be 
stored as the permanent configuration and transferred to 
the PLC.

This is a pre requirement for operating in protected 
mode.

Before starting to address the slaves, a simple (e.g. 
dummy) program containing a minimum 
configuration consisting of the PLC and the ASi 
master must be loaded into the PLC. 

Initially, you should only connect the first slave (the 
AM 1 user module) to the ASi line. Disconnect other 
modules if necessary. At this stage, module AM 1 
should have the default factory address of 0.

The PLC must be in HALT mode.
