Connect the LE 4-505-BS1 to the PS 4 using the 
socket connector on the ribbon cable as shown in 
the following figure.

Power supply for the 
ASi master LE

The AS Interface bus of the ASi master LE 4-505-BS1 
requires an extra power supply. Since the two-core 
ASi cable is used to feed both data and power feed 
to the slave devices, the ASi power supply needs to 
meet special requirements:

As described in the specifications, the power supply 
should have an output voltage of 29.5 V – 31.6 V DC 
and must meet the IEC standards for protective extra 
low voltage supplies (PELV) according to 
IEC 364-4-41 (HD384.4.41) and DIN VDE 0100-410.

The power supply must be protected against 
permanent short circuits and overloads and include 
current limiting circuits. 

In addition it must be fitted with a data decoupling 
circuit to isolate the data signals from the power 
supply.

The ASi cable leading to the LE 4 and the other AS-
Interface devices is connected to ASi+ and ASi- on 
the power supply.
