Status and diagnostic 
information in the 
online topology 
configurator

Status and diagnostic messages can be displayed in 
the online topology configurator of the Test & 
Commissioning Tool.

The graphical display of the permanent configuration 
shows the configured ASi line with ASi master and 
slaves in the form of symbols. Analogously to 
Suconet K, status and diagnostic messages can be 
displayed for each of the devices after enabling 
Network Diagnostics in the menu. You can view help 
texts for the diagnostic messages to get help on the 
cause and remedy of any problems which are 
detected. 

The following diagnostic messages are shown:

Meaning

Remedy

Config Error

Faulty configuration

Error in the remote expansion of the ASi line. The 
permanent configuration does not match the 
actual configuration. Devices with problems are 
shown shaded in red. Proceed as follows:
– Check the power supply and the cable

 connections for the slaves.

– Check that the total number of slaves and the 

I/O and I/D code and address of each slave 
matches the details in the permanent 
configuration.

Replace faulty slaves if necessary.
The network diagnostics display is updated 
automatically after remedying the fault. It is not 
necessary to reset the CPU’s diagnostic status.

ASi-Power fail/low

Faulty power supply

The power supply voltage of the ASi line is too low 
or missing. Check the power supply voltage.
The network diagnostics display is updated 
automatically after remedying the fault. It is not 
necessary to reset the CPU’s diagnostic status.
