F.2 AWS Short CAN-B Cable with Repeater
This cable is available only on demand.
The AWS connects to the J1939 wires in the vehicle via the “AWS Short
CAN-B Cable with Repeater”.
The "AWS Short CAN-B Cable" with Repeater functions as an
amplifier/repeater of the CAN messages the vehicle outputs.
The main purpose we connect the AWS to the J1939 wires is to assist in
retrieving the vehicle speed and shortening installation time.
The following connections need to be performed in order to connect the
AWS 4000 and/or the AWS 2000 to the vehicle’s J1939 wires:
NOTE : Wires’ colors are not guaranteed. Always refer to the wires’ labels.
1. Locate the Vehicle’s J1939 wires (CAN High, CAN Low)
2. Connect the CAN High (White wire) and CAN Low (Yellow wire)
wires of the "AWS Short CAN-B Cable with Repeater" to the
parallel wires in the Vehicle (usually Green and Yellow or Green
and Orange)
3. Connect the Ground (GND-) wire (Black wire) of the “AWS Short
CAN-B Cable with Repeater” to a Ground source in the vehicle.
4. Connect the White wire labeled “CAN-B” from the "AWS Short
CAN-B Cable with Repeater” to the Black wire labeled “CAN- B”
from the VSU Cable (camera cable). Please do not mix up with
the second Black wire labeled “485/232”.
5. Connect the White wire labeled “Car Adapter- PWR” from the
“VSU Cable” to the only possible connection in the “AWS Short
CAN-B Cable with Repeater” (Green wire labeled SeeQ – CA
Power).
