3.2.2. Connecting to Vehicle Signals
CAUTION: Identifying the vehicle’s electrical signals requires having the
keys in the ignition in the ACC (Accessory) position. Make sure the car
headlights and/or any other power consuming devices are turned off
during AWS-4000 installation to prevent battery drainage.
1. Identify the wires in the vehicle that carry the required electrical
signals (according to Table
3-2).
2. Firmly connect the appropriate wire from the Vehicle Signals Cable to
the identified wire in the vehicle. Each wire in the Vehicle Signals
Cable is labeled, and has a unique color. Make sure to connect the
right vehicle signals to their appropriate Vehicle Signal Cable wire
according to Table
3-2.

3. Insert the already-connected Vehicle Signals Cable behind the
vehicle trimmings so that: (a) the cable's seven wire ends are close
to the relevant vehicle signal wires (b) the connectors marked J5
(Green – Signals) and P6 (Yellow – Ext. Signals) of the Vehicle
Signals Cable (CAB000009) are located where they will connect to
the MLD Connector Cable (CAB000042) connectors P5 (Green –
Signals) and J6 (Yellow – Ext. Signals) respectively.
NOTE : Wires’ colors are not guaranteed. Always refer to the wires’ labels.
