Cut the nylon fastener.

Replacement defrost thermistor
As the picture shows, attach the thermistor to
the muffler on the side which does not face
the evaporator.

Cut the nylon fastener and detach the defrost thermistor from
the evaporator. (See photo 28)
The defrost thermistor and the evaporator pipe heater are
connected to the 4-pin connector. Cut the lead wires of the
defrost thermistor at the base of the 4-pin connector.

Installation:
Connect the replacement defrost thermistor to the evaporator
connector. (See photo 30)
Secure the defrost thermistor to the muffler with 3 nylon
fasteners (large) provided with the replacement defrost ther-
mistor. Then, tie the lead wires of defrost thermistor and the
evaporator pipe heater together with a nylon fastener (small).
(See photo 31, 32) (If they are attached to an incorrect posi-
tion, thermal characteristics will be altered.)
Stow the evaporator defrost thermistor connector in the con-
touring section of main refrigerator housing. Cover the con-
touring section with seal tape. (Use the seal tape provided
with evaporator.) (See photo 27)
