5-9.2 Failure diagnosis
First diagnosis…Diagnosis of air path switching according to food temperature
Do not remove the power plug. (The supercool freezing mode is not available for four hours after the power is
turned
on.)
Check the temperature of the versa compartment when the supercool freezing mode is OFF.
(Make sure that the cooling function is working properly according to the settings of soft freezing.)
Press the
button. (The control varies depending on the temperatures of the food to be supercooled.)
• When the food temperature is low (about 25 or less):Turning on supercool freezing starts the supercool freezing control.
5 minutes later make sure the cool air stops coming out from the air outlet on the back of the versa compartment.
Note
: Turning on supercool freezing raises the temperature in the versa compartment compared to that measured in
(to prevent freezing from the surface). (Refer to 1 for details.)
• When the food temperature is high (about 25 or more): Turning on supercool freezing starts the fast cooling control.
5 minutes later make sure the cool air is coming out from the air outlet on the back and ceiling of the versa compartment.
When fast cooling ends, if the food temperature is low enough, the supercool freezing control will start.
If the control performs as it is mentioned above, the air
fl
ow control is working properly and the supercool freezing
function is normal
Second diagnosis…Diagnosis made with food
Prepare two pouches of ready-meal-style curry. Freeze one in the freezer and supercool-freeze the other in the
versa compartment. Compare the texture of the ingredients, especially potatoes, in the curry.
Put a pouch of ready-meal-style curry in the versa compartment, and press the supercool freezing button.
Put the other pouch of ready-meal-style curry in the freezer.
Let the both pouches stay in there more than overnight.
Warm up and thaw the frozen curry and check the texture of potatoes.
If the potatoes in the supercooled curry maintains higher
fi
rmness compared to the ones in the frozen curry,
the supercool freezing function has no problem.

1: Supercool freezing control
It is normal that the temperature rises after
the supercool freezing is set.
The temperature in the versa compartment is,
at least for 50 minutes, set to approximately 4°C
lower than the temperature before supercool
freezing is set.
