Chapter 12 Maintenance

1. Ensure that all of the relevant data was transferred to the myDatanet server. If necessary, ini-

tiate the ALOHA transmission mode using the solenoid contact (see "ALOHA transmission
mode" on page 37) and then check again that all of the relevant data has been transferred.

2. If you are using an external charging supply to charge the rechargeable battery pack of the

myDatalogEASYplus , disconnect this from the device before opening the housing cover.

Important note: The charge controller of the myDatalogEASYplus can be damaged or
destroyed if the connector of the rechargeable battery or battery pack is disconnected
from the supply connector of the device without the external charging voltage being
switched off beforehand.

3. Disconnect the connector of the rechargeable battery or battery pack from the device's supply

connector.

4. Remove the rechargeable battery or battery pack mount and replace the rechargeable battery

or battery pack with a new one.

Note: Ensure that rechargeable battery and battery packs are disposed of in line with
environmental requirements. Used rechargeable battery or battery packs can be
returned to the manufacturer or handed in at suitable collection points.

5. Check whether the rechargeable battery pack type set in the device configuration (see

"Device-specific settings" on page 100) matches that of the new rechargeable battery or bat-
tery pack.

Important note: The rechargeable battery pack type must be configured correctly, other-
wise the charging curve will not be correct.

6. Install the new rechargeable battery or battery pack and connect it to the supply connector of

the myDatalogEASYplus .

The following step is not mandatory.

7. Check whether the connection to the myDatanet functions correctly (see "Testing com-

munication with the device" on page 60).

8. Close the housing cover. Tighten all four of the screws crosswise so that the housing cover is

positioned evenly.

Important note: Ensure that the seals are clean and intact before closing the housing
cover. Remove any impurities and/or dirt. The manufacturer shall not be liable for any
damage to the device caused by leaky or faulty seals.

The following step is only necessary if you are using an external charging voltage for the recharge-
able battery pack:

9. Now switch on the external charging voltage.
