C. Assembly/Use of Rack with Steam Plate
1. Remove nuts from threaded ends of Turkey Stabilizer (“V”).
2. Insert threaded ends of Turkey Stabilizer (“V”) through holes in back of rack as per
Figure 5.
3. Apply nuts and tighten.
4. Place steam plate on rack as per Figure 6. The prong and Turkey Stabilizer (“V”) provide
support for the steam plate.
5. Arrange food product on steam plate as desired as per Figure 7.
6. Place water and seasoning mixture as desired into pot. Water level should be just
below the steamer rack.Using the two handed lifter place the rack carefully into the pot and cover
with the pot lid.
7. Steam as per the recipe directions contained in Section IV Recipes. When cooking and removing
food wear protective mitts and open the pot carefully since hot steam will escape when the lid is
opened.
8. While cooking, check the water level periodically to make sure all of the water does not boil away.
A pot should never be left above a flame without liquid. Placing an empty pot over a flame will
cause a hole to burn throught the metal.
9. When the cooking time has passed, turn off the cooker and remove the food using the two
handed lifter.
