 Changing the fuel to one other than the one recommended by the manufacturer is 
not  allowed  and the  responsibility  for  such  action lies  solely with the  User.  The 
consequences of incorrect operation of the boiler resulting from the above do not 
constitute  grounds  for  considering  the  incorrect  operation  of  the  boiler  as  a 
physical defect of the product.

 

 
1.2 General characteristics of the boiler 

 

 
 

Water boilers are a steel construction adapted for highly efficient combustion of sawmill 

chips, the boilers are equipped with a combustion chamber where a burner with automatic ignition 
is placed (the igniter may be optional in some versions of the device), a high-performance heat 
exchanger, electronic controller and fuel tank.  
The combustion process in the boiler is controlled by a microprocessor controller, which allows 
the boiler to operate with a constant, preset temperature of the heating medium max. up to 90 

oC

 

by feeding an appropriate amount of fuel to the burner part. 
The controller is equipped with an additional temperature limiter, which causes complete stopping 
of the combustion process in case the temperature of water leaving the boiler increases to 95 

oC

.  

 

BIOMASS BOILERS ARE LOW-TEMPERATURE WATER BOILERS AND ARE NOT 

SUBJECT TO REGISTRATION BY THE TECHNICAL SUPERVISION AUTHORITY. 

 

 
1.3 Delivery and assembly specifications. 

 
The central heating boiler is delivered in an assembled condition, i.e. including thermal insulation, 
doors, connection spigots, clean hatch covers and control unit, feeder and fuel tank.  
Installation  of  the  boiler  unit  in  a  household-level  boiler  room  is  recommended  under  the 
supervision  of  an  authorised  installer.  The  installation  should  be  collected  by  an  authorised 
technical service or an authorised employee of an authorised service centre. 
 

Installation in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations is required in the 

process of granting the warranty for the boiler unit. The connection of the boiler unit to 

the chimney system should be made using a RCW-S type chimney draught regulator, 

e.g. from DARCO (fig. 19 , p. 31), under supervision or checked by the      appropriate 

technical service (chimney sweep).

 

 

The user should ensure the correct operation of the boiler: 

  Correct  flue  gas  discharge  by  verifying  the  cleanliness  and  technical  condition  of  the 

chimney and, if necessary, installing additional devices improving the air throughput in the 
chimney (fixed heads, rotating heads, self-adjusting sockets) at the chimney outlet. 

  Uninterrupted  access  to  the  tap  water  system  used  in  the  boiler  fire  protection  system 

(Fireman). 

  Correct ventilation in the room where the boiler is installed. 

 

1.4 Fuel 

The basic fuel recommended by the manufacturer is wood chips (photos 18 and 19) type B1 or 
pellets type C with parameters: 

  fraction (chipset size) from 3.15-40 mm, deciduous and coniferous trees (for detailed 

recommendations see table of fraction description according to EN ISO 17225-4 for 
chipset type P31S, pt. 1.4.2) 

 

maximum contaminants (ashes) ≤ 1.5%,

 

  humidity 10-30%, 

 

minimum energy efficiency (calorific value) 15 MJ/kg, recommended ≤ 17 MJ/kg.
