device connected to it. That the section and height of the chimney are suitable. Ensure that there
are adequate ventilation conditions in the boiler room.
When planning a longer furnace downtime, all water from the central heating system and the boiler
must be drained during the winter season when the temperature falls below 0OC. Otherwise the
water in the system will freeze and this may cause leakage or tear of pipes, stove, radiators for
which the manufacturer is not responsible.
4.4. Connection of the boiler to the chimney
Boiler flue (Fig. 8), connect to the chimney with a steel profile of the same cross-section
and shape as the flue.
The thickness of the sheet from which the steel profile is made should
not be less than 3 mm
. Pay attention to the tightness of the chimney connection and flue pipe
connections. The connection should have a slope towards the boiler. Thermal insulation of the
flue system improves the chimney draught. The proper height and cross-section of the flue pipe
has a significant impact on the operation of the boiler or boiler unit. Incorrect dimensions of the
flue pipe may cause disturbances in boiler operation.
The formula should be used to calculate the chimney section area:
0,003 x Q x 0,86
F= ---------------------------
(m²)
√ h
where:
Q - is the heat output of one or more boilers connected to one flue pipe [kW]
h - height of the chimney measured from the level of the grate to the outlet [m].
5. instructions for connecting the boiler to the central heating system.
After setting up the boiler and connecting it to the chimney, the boiler must be connected
to the central heating system. To this end, perform the following steps:
●
connect the boiler's water supply connection with the central heating system in a place
designed for this purpose according to the markings on Drawing 3,
●
connect the water return stub pipe to the central heating system as indicated in Fig. 4,
●
connect water supply pipes to the safety system according to
PN-91/B-02413
, system
"fireman",
●
Fill the central heating system with water until there is a continuous overflow from the
signalling pipe at the highest point of the system,
●
check the correct execution of the electrical installation and feeding system and connect
the power supply to the boiler,
●
If a central heating circulation pump is used (manufacturer's recommendation), make a
pump connection with the so-called "gravity bypass", enabling the use of the central
heating system in the event of a possible pump failure.
NOTE!
It is possible to connect a GHT boiler (not applicable to boilers with output above 100kW)
