6.2 Filling with water
Fill the system with water before lighting the fire on the plank.
Water to supply boilers must meet the standards in accordance with PN-85/C-04601.
In order to check if the system has been completely filled with water, unscrew the through-hole
valve on the signalling pipe for a few seconds. A constant, uninterrupted flow of water indicates
that the system is completely filled correctly.
Possible replenishment of water in the system should be carried out during the interruption of
boiler operation.
6.3 Firing-up and correct operation of the boiler.
In order to properly perform boiler firing-up, please refer to the controller's manual enclosed with
the boiler.
Attention!
During visual inspection of the boiler before firing up, special attention should be
paid to the position of the safety flap (pictures 2 and 3), the correct position of the
flap is a closed inspection opening of the feeding chamber. The user should not
leave the boiler unattended during the firing-up procedure.
6.4 Refuelling.
The fuel tank should be replenished whenever the layer of fuel in the tank has fallen to
less than 10 cm from the bottom of the tank. The tank contains the fuel/fuel needed for
automatic operation of the feeder. In the case of a lower level, dust from the tank may
occur. To do this, it must be ensured that the tank is always filled above the minimum
level to ensure continuous operation of the boiler and to prevent the furnace from being
extinguished. The filling level must be checked every approx. 24 hours.
During boiler operation the fuel tank should be closed!
ATTENTION!
When a cold boiler is heated up, the phenomenon of water vapour condensation on the boiler
walls may occur, so called sweating, giving the illusion that the boiler is leaking. This is a natural
phenomenon that disappears when the boiler is warmed up.
6.5 Maintenance and cleaning of the boiler
Maintenance procedures consist in removing any defects that may have occurred during
the operation of the boiler, e.g. removing leaks in the door, cleaning, flue by replacing the gaskets.
Hinges and door clamps must be lubricated. Periodically, every 2 to 4 weeks, lubricate the fuel
feeding system (the headstock) and, depending on the quality of fuel, remove sediments
accumulated in the convection channels and the flue pipe, for which the cleaning holes are used
(fig. 8).
6.5.1 Longer boiler downtimes
Protect the boiler against moisture build-up, leave the door open, then clean the firebox
from the embers. The boiler is switched off for a longer period of time by switching it off from
the mains.
