Observe the messages on the multifunction display.

Switch the ignition off and back on.

If the malfunction message persists, visit a qualified specialist work‐

shop.

If it is not possible to release the electric parking brake, do not drive

the vehicle.

Observe the messages on the multifunction display.

Switch the ignition off and back on.

Engage and disengage the electric parking brake using the switch

while depressing the brake pedal.

If the malfunction message persists, park the vehicle on level

ground and secure it against rolling away (

page 134).

Consult a qualified specialist workshop.

When the red indicator lamp flashes, the vehicle must not be driven

as the brake system may overheat.
