Before parking the vehicle, apply the

parking brake.

Press the brake pedal and the DIRECT

SELECT lever upwards or downwards to the

first point of resistance.

Transmission position display

is shown in

the multifunction display.

Releasing the brake pedal will allow you to move

the vehicle freely, e.g. to push it or tow it.
If the automatic transmission should also

stay in neutral

when the ignition is

switched off, carry out the following:

Start the vehicle.

Depress the brake pedal and shift to neutral

Release the brake pedal.

Switch off the ignition.

If you then leave the vehicle and the Smart‐

Key is still in the vehicle, the automatic trans‐

mission will stay in neutral

from then on.

You switch off the engine in transmission

You open the driver's door when the vehicle is

stationary or when driving at a very low speed

You leave your seat when the vehicle is sta‐

tionary or when driving at a very low speed.
