Saving a New Template to a Library
Any trained user of the
Medfusion 3500
infusion pumps can save a group of presets to any library and template in the
pump. You can save presets to any library whether or not the library is enabled. It is very easy. In fact, it is easier to
do than to describe. The steps are given below:
1.
Select and setup any infusion you want used as a standard delivery method. Any group of settings can be
saved to a template.

Progress all the way to the B

3.
Press the
Options
button. This calls the S

screen.
4.
You need to find the S
AVE TO
L
IBRARY
option. You may have to press the
More
button until it appears
onscreen.
5.
When you find it, press the
number
button for S
AVE TO
L
IBRARY
and call the S
ELECT THE
L
IBRARY
screen.
6.
Press the
number
button for the library you want to use. This calls the S
ELECT THE
L
IBRARY
E
NTRY
screen.
7.
You may save to either a used or unused template. Make your choice and press its
number
button.
8.
You are now at the C
HOOSE A
C
HARACTER
screen. This is where you name the template.
9.
Use the “
Î
” and “
Ð
” keys to put the highlight on the character or symbol you wish to use. Then press the
Enter
button to type the character onto the screen.
10.
Repeat step
9
until you have named the new template. Use the
Backspace
key to make corrections.
11.
When finished naming the new template, press the
Stop
button to save and exit. The new template is now
stored permanently in the designated library. And it now appears on the S
ELECT THE
L
IBRARY
menu.
